Solar Hot Water Heating from Sungate Energy Solutions for families in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Hayward

What is the advantage of investing in Sungate Energy Solutions' solar hot water heaters? If you live in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Hayward, or any other part of California, let me tell you why.

Solar hot water is produced by heating water with a free energy source - sunlight! This helps to reduce the cost of your energy bill and is an environmentally friendly solution to some home energy usage. Most homes have a hot water heater tank for water storage that is kept hot by means of the energy provided to your home from a utility company. Those are the worst in terms of energy costs and energy waste. Tankless, or on demand, hot water heaters are better because they use gas or electricity to heat water only when it is needed. Solar hot water heaters are the best for energy reduction and use both storage tanks and solar collectors that can work in two ways: either actively or passively, to collect and store solar energy. Active solar hot water heaters use circulating pumps and controls, while passive solar hot water heaters do not.

How does Sungate Energy Solutions' solar hot water heaters save consumers in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Hayward money and reduce energy usage?

The three types of solar collectors that are installed for residential use of solar hot water are flat-plate collectors, integral collector-storage systems (ICS or batch systems), and evacuated-tube solar collectors. Flat-plate collectors are commonly used for solar hot water heating in pools, while ICS or batch systems are efficient in climates that do not experience freezing temperatures, and the evacuated-tube collectors are acceptable for residential or commercial application.

Active solar hot water systems use direct circulation in climates where it rarely freezes because water is used in circulation. Indirect circulation systems pump a non-freezing, heat-transfer fluid through collectors and a heat exchanger in climates prone to freezing temperatures. Passive systems are not as efficient but cost less up front and can last longer. Choosing a solar hot water system that is right for your home is possible through Sungate Energy Solutions. Solar hot water heating systems will be chosen by consumer economics, solar availability, determining the correct system size for your home, estimating and comparing system costs, and finally, investigating compliance with local codes and regulations.

These systems require installation by a qualified solar hot water specialist contractor that Sungate Energy Solutions can provide if you live in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Hayward, or any other part of California. After installation, maintenance for both passive and active solar hot water systems is minimal. Passive systems require less maintenance, and active solar hot water system maintenance can be found in the owner's manual, but don't vary much from conventional hot water heating systems. For higher efficiency the glazing on the solar hot water collectors may need to be rinsed in dry climates where rainwater does not naturally rinse the solar hot water collectors.
